Spring into Easter
(and eggs)

Rabbits, chicks, eggs, and lilies are among the many symbols which celebrate spring and Easter, a time when people see the cycle of life beginning anew. Historically the egg has represented fertility and life. Christians exchanged colored eggs as an expression of the joy of the Resurrection. The custom survived through the centuries. This pathfinder will give you a wealth of ideas and resources to help incorporate the season and the holiday into a whole language classroom. The items listed are just a sampling of the materials available in the Curriculum Library and the children's collection. This pathfinder will guide you to the many places where pertinent information can be found. Happy Easter!
