Geography

from A to Z

Since the beginning of time, human beings have been fascinated with our environment, excited by what might lie over the horizon, and thrilled by the forms and functions of the planet we inhabit. Geographers study the Earth to gain a deeper understanding of where things are and why they are there. Geography involves a special way of looking at planet Earth and its people. The actual study of geography involves describing, explaining, and making forecasts about people and places.

It is imperative that students understand and appreciate the interplay of human beings with locations, regions, countries, and continents both near and far. This pathfinder is designed to help you search out activities and materials so you can stimulate and encourage students to gain an organized understanding of the world in which they live.
