DR. HARRY BAERS Died February 5, 2004 at his residence. He was born April 11, 1914 in Pennsylvania and was 89. He is survived by his wife, Nelly; two children, Ron and Marlo; step-daughter, Joelle and grand-children, Michael, Jennifer, Vanessa and Julia. He was pre-deceased by a son, Roger and a granddaughter, Laura Wolfe Albert. A Pearl Harbor Survivor, he was stationed at Bellows Field on December 7th. His first wife, Donna, an RN, served with him in Hawaii. Harry was a long-time member of Mid-Pacific Country Club where he frequently shot his age. An excellent skier, he did helicopter skiing in Portillo, Chile. He enjoyed scuba diving and world travels. He ventured on treks to the Himalayas, the Karakoram Highway, China's Silk Road, Tibet, Africa and Antartica. In April, last year, he travelled to Turkey and visited with family in Paris and the South of France. He will be remembered as a loving husband, dedicated Physician, father, grandfather and adventurer with an inquisitive mind who always sought to better under-stand the world we live in. MARIE P. BAKER Feb. 1, 1920-Mar. 31, 2004 Marie P. Baker, 84, formerly of Honolulu, passed away peacefully in her sleep, surrounded by family on March 31, 2004 in Encinitas, CA. Marie was born and raised in and around Portland, Maine. She married her war-time sweetheart, Harold, and lived in Berkeley, California until 1957 when they and their two sons moved to Honolulu. She was a homemaker, an active member of the University of Hawaii Women's Campus Club and a volunteer at the Mission Houses Museum.
