Evelyn Nieves Sakae Labogen of Las Vegas, died July 2, 2005, at the age of 66. An employee of the Las Vegas Review Journal, she is survived by her husband: William, formerly of Kilauea; daughter: Eva Marie; sons: James and Nathan; four grand-children; sisters: Emmaline Baker, Thelma (Willard) Maxwell, Ernell (David) Ono, Jeannie (Johnny) Ibarra, Theresa (Jerry) Moore, and Johnnareen Ramirez; and brothers: John (Michelle) and Lawrance (Lina) Teanio. There will be two memorial services. The first will be held on Saturday, July 16, at 1:30 p.m. at St. John Neumann, 2475 W. El Campo Grande Avenue, North Las Vegas, Nev. A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, Aug. 19, at 10:30 a.m. at Saint Michael, 67-390 Goodale Avenue, Waialua, O‘ahu. Paulette Joyce Lacno, 60, of Las Vegas, and formerly of Maui, died June 11, 2005, in Las Vegas. Visitation will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Ballard Family Mortuary, with a service at 7 p.m. A dinner reception will follow in the dining area. The family requests casual attire. Mrs. Lacno was born Aug. 17, 1944, on Molokai. She was a bookkeeper/accountant for a car dealership. Roberto "Bob" Ladera, Jr. of Hanama‘ulu, died at Queens Medical Center on July 17, 2005, at the age of 60. Born in Lihu‘e, on July 25, 1944, he was a heavy equipment op-erator with Lihue Plantation. He is survived by caregiver, Kathleen Ladera; two sons, Roberto "Bobby" Ladera III of Hanama‘ulu and Michael Ladera of Ewa, O‘ahu; grandson, Michael Ladera, Jr.; brother, Wesley (Priscilla) Ladera; two sisters, Valerie (Bobby) Texeira and Janet (Ronnie) Silva; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Eulalia "Lallia" Balila Lagutan, 95, of Kapaau, died June 13 at Kohala Hospital. KATHLEEN "KAY" WALKER MOLONY LANDRUM 85, of Honolulu, Hawai`i, died on Friday, June 3, 2005, in Honolulu. She was born January 17, 1920, in Nogales, Arizona, to George Hely Molony and Kathleen Walker Molony, and was the granddaughter of John and Sophie Klussman Walker of Honolulu. She is survived by her daughters Kathleen Walker Landrum Colbourn, of San Rafael, California, and Anne Landrum of Honolulu, and her son James Edward Landrum III, of Fargo, North Dakota, her son-in-law Jack Colbourn, granddaughter Kaitlin Colbourn, many relatives in Hawai`i and elsewhere in the United States and Europe, and a world-wide circle of friends. She was predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Major General James Edward Landrum, Jr. Kay was active in preservation of Hawaiian heritage and was an ardent patron of education, the arts, and beautification programs in Hawai`i. She was a member of Daughters of Hawai`i, Friends of the Library, Honolulu Academy of Arts Guild, the Parish of St. Clements, and the US Army Officers' Wives Club. She was also a past vice-president of The Outdoor Circle, a past president of The English Speaking Union, and was a founding member of Nadesko Kai, a Japanese and American women's liaison organization in Japan. ANNA KAPUAIKAIU LAU Age 87 of Kaneohe, went home to her Creator and Heavenly Father on April 6, 2005. She was a loving mother and devoted grandmother. She was born on July19, 1917 in Honolulu and was a graduate of McKinley High School. Anna worked for many years for Pacific Laundry and later for Kailua Hardware.
