ELIZABETH W. RAMENTO Elizabeth W. Ramento was born on June 27, 1938 in Paia,
Hawaii. She was called home to the Lord after a 3-year
courageous battle with cancer on Tuesday, March 1, 2005 at Tacoma,
Washington surrounded by her loved ones. Known to all who loved
her as Liz and to many as "Aunty Liz", she is survived by her loving
and devoted husband of 49 years, Al, children Alfred (Susan) Ramento, Blanch
(Ken) Fernandez, Laura (Dean) Desantos, Nathan Ramento, grandkids Jantzen,
Brandon, Carmen, Kimo, Natalie, Shani and great-grandchildren, Nathan and
Breanna. Liz also leaves behind her mother, Dionisia Guillermo (Kaneohe, HI), sisters Felisa (Cris) Taiping (Tacoma,
WA), Sophie (Harold) Nakamura (Kaneohe, HI), Millie (Peter) Conrardy (Spanaway, WA) and brothers Fortunato (Bertha) Barques and Joseph
(Patricia) Guillermo both of Kaneohe, HI. Liz graduated from Castle High School, Kaneohe, HI in 1956 and retired from McChord AFB as an operations
clerk of 20 years. She loved outdoor activities, camping, clamming, potlucks
with family and friends, cooking, dancing, singing, traveling but first and
foremost, Liz loved her family. There was nothing she wouldn't do for them.

PACITA C. RAMIREZ Age 79, of Aiea Heights, loving wife, mother,
grand-mother, great grandmother, aunt, sister and friend, passed away on
Tuesday, February 1, 2005 at Kapiolani Medical Center at Pali Momi. Pacita was
born in Magsingal, Ilocos Sur in the Philippines on April 17, 1925 and came to Hawaii with her parents at the age of 6. She was the oldest
of 9 children and had to leave school in the 9th grade to help care for her
siblings. She married Bernard Ramirez at the age of 16 and enjoyed 62 years of
marriage. Together they raised 4 children in Waipahu and Aiea Heights and although she and her husband Bernard both had
very limited education, they worked hard and sent all of their children to
private schools and college. Pacita worked at the Aiea Navy Laundry where she
was a union steward. She retired in 1987. Her retirement years were spent
babysitting grandchildren and great grandchildren, chauffering them to and from
school and sporting events, taking care of her husband, doing everyone's
laundry, visiting friends and relatives, and baking her jello cakes and
wonderful rum cakes. She touched so many lives with her energy, generosity and
kindness. She is survived by her husband, Bernard; sons, Bernard (Luisa)
Ramirez, Jr., James (Patricia) Ramirez; daughters, Shirley, deceased (Ernest)

REES SR. Age 83, passed away on June 1, 2005 in his Kapahulu home. He was born on September 25,
1921 in Honolulu. He graduated from McKinley High
School in
1941. He joined the Honolulu Fire Department in 1942 and retired in 1976, with
the rank of Captain. He was a member of the Elks Lodge 616 Waikiki and a avid golfer with many friends and memories in Honolulu, Mainland and Canada. He is preceded in death by his wife Virginia and
survived by his sons, William Jr. (Kapi) and Walter (Lee); daughters, Evern
Williams and Luana O'Hare (Don); grandchildren, David, Mark (Ayu), Christian
and Lindsay; great-grandchildren, Matthew and Maya. He is also survived by

Ernest Paul Reese, Jr., USN (ret.) Age 57, of Kailua, passed away March 30, 2005 at St Francis Hospice West. He was born August 10, 1947, in Ellwood City, PA. Ernie came to Hawaii in 1990 when he reported to CINCPACFLT as the Drug
and Alcohol Program Advisor to the Fleet, until his retirement in 1993 after 26
years of faithful service. He was more recently employed as the Assistance and
Recovery Program Coordinator for Operating Engineers Local #3. Ernie was a
founding member of Foundation Motorcycle Club, as well as a past President. He
is preceded in death by his father, Ernest P. Reese, Sr., and grandson Ernest
M. Reese, Jr. He is survived by his partner Dorothee Schmidt; daughters
Jorgi-Anne Stever and Jennifer Reese, son Ernest M. Reese and their mother
Maureen Reese; mother Gertrude Reese, brother Richard
Reese, sister Jacquelyn Alongi, and grandsons Robben Stever, Elgin Reese,
