Christino Juan Taclan Jr., 23, of Wailuku, died June 16, 2005, at his residence. Visitation will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at Ballard Family Mortuary, with a service at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will continue at 9 a.m. Saturday at the mortuary, with a service at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Nawaieha Cemetery, across from St. Anthony Church in Wailuku. He was an electrician and mechanic at FKS Rental and Sales. FRANCISCO "CISCO" TACULOG, JR. Age 59, of Honolulu, passed away on May 18, 2005, at the Kuakini Medical Center. He was born on March 7, 1946, at Hoolehua General Hospital in Molokai. Cisco graduated from Molokai'i High & Intermediate School, class of 1964. Shortly after High School Cisco worked for Associated Insulation and Aloha State Sales before joining the United States Army where he served 4 years, two years active and two years inactive. Cisco later pursued two great loves of his life as becoming an associate member with Ke'ehi Boat Club, fishing off the Genesis II, Captained by Mike Ota, and golfing for the Hana Hou Golf Club, which he became quite good at. He is survived by sisters, Mildred (Harry) Hirose and Elizabeth (Alvin) Ishimitsu; nieces and nephews. He is pre-deceased by a sister, the late Cecilia (Robert Sr.) Steiner. [Adv June 15, 2005]

MARY-GLENNIE ULULANI ANDREWS TAGUPA Age 75, passed away in Kaneohe, May 25, 2005, at her daughter's home. She was born February 2, 1930 in Honolulu, to James and Winifred Andrews. She is survived by her loving husband, Alfred Tagupa; son, James R. Tagupa (Francine Dudoit-Tagupa); daughter, Mary-Glennie K. Marriott; her three grandsons, Tyson Keola Marriott, James Kelii Tagupa and Byron Analu Tagupa; her granddaughter, Kanani Christy Kamelamela-Dudoit; and one great-grandson, many nieces and nephews and numerous relatives and friends. She attended Kamehameha School for Girls, graduated from Roosevelt High School class of '47 and later, from the University of Hawaii. She was an elementary school teacher and devoted herself to her students. She retired from the State of Hawaii DOE after 32 years of dedicated service. Her passion in retired life was the genealogical research of her family. She and her beloved husband were world travelers and touched many people with their Aloha and kindness. She was devoted to her church and active in several organizations: Daughters of Hawaii, Ka'ahumnau Society, Hawaiian Civic Club, Lodge of the Women Elks 616, and the New England Historical Genealogical Society. Iwao "Henry" Takahashi of Wailua died on June 11, 2005 at his home at the age of 81. Born on Feb. 14, 1924 in Wailua, he retired as Grounds Maintenance personnel from Coco Palms Hotel in Wailua. JAMES "Jimmy" SAU KEONG TAM Born on March 6, 1919 in Kaimuki, Hawaii passed away peacefully on May 12, 2005 at St. Francis Medical Center. He was a graduate of McKinley HS, Mun Lun Chinese School, University of Hawaii (BS, Civil Engineering) and Harvard University (MS, Structural Engineering). In his youth, he enjoyed surfing, playing football and the ukulele. He was a World War II veteran and served in the Army's 24th Infantry Combat Engineering Battalion. He was sent to Australia and participated in the New Guinea and Philippine invasions, including MacArthur's landing and the Battle of Leyte Gulf. After 4 years, he was discharged and attended Harvard University where he received a Masters in Structural Engineering. He worked in Cambridge, MA then returned to Honolulu and was a long time resident of Waimanalo. He then worked at Donald Lo & Assoc and retired from the Federal Govt in 1987. He was very active in the Chinese community and was past president of the Tom Association, officer for Mun Lun Mo Hock Ke Lock Bo, and director for See Dai Doo Society. He was a very loving, devoted father and husband and generous to all his friends. All who knew him will deeply miss him and his memory will live in our minds and hearts forever. He is survived by wife, Shiu Wen Tam, daughter Anna S.P.T. (John) Chung & granddaughter Avery Chung. Also, brother Edward (Marceline) Tam & sisters Pina Lee & Fannie Ching.
