The following list of websites represent prominent collections of books in electronic format. Because of the size of the collections in each database, there will be some duplication of titles. However, it is best to search through as many of the links as possible to find the title you might be looking for.

American Council of Learned Societies History E-book Project Contains over 500 books of high quality in the field of history. Approximately 250 new titles added annually.

Making of America
Making of America (MoA) is a digital library of primary sources in American social history from the antebellum period through reconstruction. The collection is particularly strong in the subject areas of education, psychology, American history, sociology, religion, and science and technology. The collection currently contains approximately 8,500 books and 50,000 journal articles with 19th century imprints.
