| December 18, 2007 Peterson Named Player of the Week
Laie, HI—Brigham Young University Hawaii’s Paul Peterson was named the Pacific West Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week today for his performance in a Seasider victory last week. Peterson scored a career-high 32 points while also coming within one point of his career best with eight assists as the Seasiders defeated Tampa 103-75 in their lone game of the week. Peterson, a senior co-captain from Abilene, Texas, hit seven three-pointers
in the first half and finished the game with eight to come within one of
the all-time BYU–Hawaii record for three-pointers in a game. He shot
11-16 from the field for 68.8 percent during the contest and also snatched
three rebounds and three steals.
