Season | February 10, 2007 Seasiders Get Back to Winning
Belmont, CA-The Brigham Young University Hawaii men's basketball team got back on the winning track today with an 81-62 road victory over Notre Dame de Namur in Pacific West Conference action. The Seasiders, now 18-7 for the season and 10-3 in the conference, got 18 first-half points from sophomore Wu Tai-hao to take a 44-36 lead at the intermission and maintained the lead throughout the second half for the win. Tai-hao hit 7-9 from the field and 3-3 from three-point range, scoring all of his points for the game in the opening 20 minutes to lead the Seasiders. Eric Boyce and Jermaine Odjegba each knocked in 12 points and Boyce added a team-high four assists in the game. Lucas Alves put up ten points and grabbed five rebounds while blocking three shots for the Seasiders. Corey Nielson came off the bench to lead BYU-Hawaii with seven rebounds and four steals to go with his four points and three assists and Paul Peterson pulled down six rebounds as the Seasiders out-rebounded the Argonauts 43-31 for the game. Chris Clock was the only Argonaut to score in double figures as he managed 17 points in the game. Ryan Cooper dished out seven assists for Notre Dame de Namur as the Argonauts fell to 7-14 overall and 1-10 in the PacWest Conference. BYU-Hawaii will not play again until February 21st when they will face UH-Hilo in Hilo at 7:15 pm HST. |
