Peterson Named All-Star

Paul Peterson will play in the NCAA II East-West All-Star game

Laie, HI-Brigham Young University-Hawaii men’s basketball player Paul Peterson has been selected by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) to play in the annual NABC All-Star Game being held in conjunction with the NCAA II Elite Eight in Springfield, Massachusetts on Friday. BYU-Hawaii assistant coach Brandyn Akana will also participate as an assistant coach for the West team that Peterson will be playing for.

Peterson, a senior guard from Abilene, Texas, helped lead the Seasiders to the NCAA II West Regional championship game this season by averaging 15 points per game and 3.7 assists per game. He will be the lone representative of the Pacific West Conference to play in the all-star game this year. Only seniors are eligible to be selected for the game and are chosen by the NABC.
