Seasiders Drop in Poll

Trenson Akana and the Seasiders fell to 23rd

Laie, HI—The Brigham Young University Hawaii men’s basketball team dropped from ninth to 23rd in the latest NCAA II national rankings today, falling 14 spots. The Seasiders, 7-3 for the season and 2-1 in the Pacific West Conference, received 28 points in today’s poll, a decrease of 97 points from the last vote on December 18th. All three of the Seasiders’ losses have come since the last poll.

The Seasiders went 2-1 on their opening road trip of the PacWest conference season last week, defeating Notre Dame de Namur twice and losing a close game to defending conference champion Grand Canyon. BYU–Hawaii will face Chaminade on Saturday at 7:30 pm in Laie in their only game this week.
