| March 5, 2008 Seasiders Move Up to Six
Laie, HI—The Brigham Young University Hawaii men’s basketball team moved up to the sixth spot in the NCAA II West Regional Poll released today. The regional poll ultimately determines which teams will receive bids to the NCAA II tournament in March. The top eight teams in the final regional poll, which will be released as part of the NCAA II tournament show on Sunday March 9th, will receive tournament bids. The Seasiders, who were seventh in the poll last week, have completed the regular season with an 18-7 overall record and were 13-5 in the Pacific West Conference. Eight of the ten teams in the regional poll still have games remaining this weekend which could affect the rankings for Sunday’s selection.
