Seasiders Lose in Regional

La Jolla, CA—The 28th-ranked Brigham Young University Hawaii men’s tennis team suffered just their third defeat of the season today, losing 5-0 to 18th-ranked UC San Diego, in the NCAA II West Regional. The Seasiders finished the season with an 8-3 mark while the Tritons improved to 11-11 and will move on to the national tournament in Houston, Texas.

Men Fall to #2 Team

Pensacola, FL—The Brigham Young University Hawaii men’s tennis team suffered their second defeat of the season today, losing 8-1 to second-ranked Valdosta State. The Seasiders, now 8-2 for the season, claimed an upset win at the top doubles slot and played well at several other positions against the powerful Blazers.

Men Sweep

Mobile, AL—The Brigham Young University Hawaii men’s tennis team defeated Tuskegee today 9-0 to improve to 8-1 for the season. The Seasiders swept the three doubles matches with ease and won all six singles matches in straight sets for the win.

Seasiders Get Road Win

Mobile, AL—The Brigham Young University Hawaii men’s tennis team defeated West Alabama today 7-2 to improve to 7-1 for the season. The Seasiders took two of the three doubles matches before winning five of the six singles matches for the win.

Seasiders Defeat Sonoma State

Laie, HI—The Brigham Young University Hawaii men’s tennis team defeated Sonoma State today 7-2 to improve to 6-1 for the season. The Seasiders took two of the three doubles matches before winning five of the six singles matches for the win.

Seasiders Stymie Vulcans Again

Hilo, HI—The Brigham Young University Hawaii men’s tennis team defeated UH-Hilo today 5-4 for the third time this season in the completion of a match that was started on Thursday and delayed by rain. This six singles matches were completed on the Thursday with the teams tied at 3-3. The Seasiders claimed two of the three doubles matches today to secure the win.

Seasiders Knock off Cal Lutheran

Laie, HI—The Brigham Young University Hawaii men’s tennis team improved to 4-1 for the season today by defeating California Lutheran, 9-0, on the BYU–Hawaii courts. The Seasiders swept the three doubles matches handily and then won all six singles matches in straight sets to claim the win.

Seasiders Win 9-0

Laie, HI—The Brigham Young University Hawaii men’s tennis team defeated William Jewell of Missouri today, 9-0 as they look to gain further momentum in their play throughout this month. The Seasiders, now 3-1 for the season, had 6 sets today that they were able to shut out their opponents from earning a point.

Seasiders Lose to D-III Power

Laie, HI—The Brigham Young University Hawaii men’s tennis team suffered their first defeat of the season today, 5-1, at the hands of NCAA III fourth-ranked Emory (GA). The Seasiders, now 2-1 for the season, claimed a win at the top doubles slot and were leading in two of the unfinished singles matches when play was halted.

Seasiders Stop Vulcans
Laie, HI-The Brigham Young University Hawaii nationally ranked men’s tennis team defeated the University of Hawaii Hilo 6-3 on Saturday after a long delay in play due to rain. The win improves the Seasiders’ record to 5-0 this season.

Seasiders Squeak by Sea Warriors

Laie, HI-The 15th-ranked Brigham Young University Hawaii men's tennis team defeated 33rd-ranked Hawaii Pacific today in a rain-delayed match by a 5-4 final score. The match, which was as intensely played as a post-season playoff match, came down to the final singles match before the Seasiders prevailed. BYU-Hawaii took two of the three doubles matches and then won at numbers two, four, and five in singles play to complete the win and improve to 4-0 for the season.

Seasiders Drop Vulcans Again

Hilo, HI-The Brigham Young University Hawaii men's tennis team defeated UH-Hilo for the second time today, 5-1, to improve to 3-0 for the season. The Seasiders took two of the three doubles matches and then won at numbers two through four in singles play to complete the two-match sweep of the Vulcans.

Seasiders Complete Win

Hilo, HI-The Brigham Young University Hawaii men's tennis team defeated UH-Hilo today, 6-0, to complete a match started yesterday that was delayed due to rain. The Seasiders swept the three doubles matches played yesterday and took all three singles matches completed today.

Seasiders Open with Win

Laie, HI-The Brigham Young University Hawaii men's tennis team opened the season with a win today at home as they downed Gustavus Adolphus (MN) 6-3. The Seasiders swept the three doubles matches and then claimed wins in straight sets at the second, third, and fourth singles slots to carve out a 6-0 lead and claim the win. BYU-Hawaii had a shot at each of the remaining singles matches but came up short in each for the final score.
