Seasiders Drop Two to HPU

Honolulu, HI- The Brigham Young University-Hawaii women's softball team dropped a non-conference doubleheader today against Hawaii Pacific University. The Seasiders record falls to 7-12, while HPU improves to 13-7.

Senior centerfielder Maggie Reynolds had two hits in three at bats and drove in two runs for the Seasiders in the first game but the Seasiders couldn't produce any more runs and fell to the Sea Warriors, 6-2.

The second game was called early after the Sea Warriors had taken a 10-1 lead going into the bottom of the fifth inning. The Seasiders matched the Sea Warriors with seven hits but all but one of their baserunners were stranded. Seasider Lyza Halas hit 3 for 3 in the game.

The Seasiders will take on conference leading UH-Hilo on Wednesday in Hilo.
