| December 6, 2007 Three Volleyball Players Honored
Laie, HI–The Brigham Young University Hawaii women’s volleyball team placed three players on the Pacific West Conference All-Conference Teams announced today. Senior outside hitter Noelle Filimoeatu and junior setter LeeAnn Mapu were both named to the All-Conference First Team for the second year in a row while junior middle blocker Faylynn Merrick made the Second Team. Filimoeatu, from Lindon, Utah, led the PacWest in kills with 4.45 per game and was sixth in digs with 3.87 per game. Mapu, from Laie, Hawaii, finished second in the conference in both hitting percentage at .311 and assists with 11.44 per game. Merrick, from Sauk Rapids, Minnesota, finished sixth in the conference in hitting percentage with a .303 mark to earn her second consecutive Second Team honor.
