Saint Martins up end Seasiders

Richelle Fenenbock (shown in earlier action) scored 12 points to lead her team in scoring in tonights game

Lacey, WA—The Brigham Young University Hawaii women’s basketball team is still trying to work out the kinks early on in the season and had a hard time finding its rhythm on the road as they fell to Saint Martin’s University today. Their final game of their road trip was a cold shooting night for the Seasiders that led to a 69-43 defeat and an 0-3 start to the season. BYUH trailed 37-20 at halftime but struggled to connect shooting 23 % for the game as the stingy Saint Martins defense caused 25 turn over’s against BYU–Hawaii on the night.

Sophomore forward Agnes Tuilevuka had a strong showing for the Seasiders, notching eleven points, eight rebounds, and coming up with four steals, while freshman guard Richelle Fenenbock led the team in scoring with twelve points, and four steals. Sophomore Amanda Watts for the second consecutive night chipped in with eight points for BYU–Hawaii.

BYU–Hawaii will return back to Oahu and have a short break before facing Alaska-Fairbanks on December 8th at 7:30pm in Laie for their first home game of the season. The Seasiders went 7-5 at home last year and hope to build momentum as the season continues.
