| February 16, 2008Seasiders Lose to Grand Canyon
Laie, HI—The Brigham Young University Hawaii women’s basketball team fell to Grand Canyon tonight, 84-45, in women’s basketball as the visiting Lady ‘Lopes clinched at least a tie for the Pacific West Conference championship. The Seasiders fell behind the defending champions early in the first half and were forced to play catch-up basketball the rest of the way. Richelle Fenenbock scored nine points and grabbed four rebounds to lead the Seasiders tonight. Hoku Holdcraft came off the bench to tally eight points and match Fenenbock with three assists. Agnes Tuilevuka handed out a team-high five assists to go with her five points while Shaina Siliga and Lei Lolohea each chipped in five points as well. Rosalyn Nelson scored 20 points to lead Grand Canyon as the Lady ‘Lopes improved to 18-10 overall and 14-3 in the PacWest. Samantha Murphy and Sara Dalgliesh each scored 15 and three others reached double figures in points for Grand Canyon. BYU–Hawaii dropped to 4-19 overall and 4-10 in the conference with the loss. The Seasiders will face Dixie State on Wednesday in Laie at 5:30 pm HST. |
