Lolohea Gets PacWest Honor

Lei Lolohea is the PacWest Player of the Week

Laie, HI—Brigham Young University Hawaii’s Lei Lolohea was honored as the Pacific West Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week this week for her play last week in two BYU–Hawaii conference games. Lolohea averaged 29.5 points per game as the Seasiders split the two games.

Lolohea, a freshman from West Jordan, Utah, scored a school-record 33 points as the Seasiders lost in overtime to Dixie State on Wednesday and then came back with 26 points as the Seasiders defeated Chaminade on Saturday. She also averaged 9.5 rebounds per game and shot 61.5 percent (19-31) from the field and made six of her seven three-point attempts during the week. Lolohea is the first Seasider honored for women’s basketball this season.
