Hilo, HI—The Brigham Young University Hawaii women’s basketball fell to UH-Hilo tonight, 84-54, in Pacific West Conference action. The Seasiders fell behind 43-26 at the half and could not catch the hot-shooting Vulcans who hit over 50 percent of their shots on their home court. Lei Lolohea scored 22 points and grabbed nine rebounds for the Seasiders to lead all players in both categories. Agnes Tuilevuka added ten points, eight rebounds, and three steals while Richelle Fenenbock chipped in nine points for BYU–Hawaii. Samantha Nordstrom scored 17 points to lead the Vulcans, now 9-15 for the season and 9-8 in the PacWest. Sheila Azevedo added 12 points for UH-Hilo The Seasiders, now 5-21 overall and 5-12 in the conference, will face UH-Hilo again tomorrow in Hilo at 5:30 pm HST in the final game of the season. |
