Seasiders Win Twice

Fairbanks, AK—The Brigham Young University Hawaii's women's cross country team picked up a pair of wins today in Fairbanks, Alaska at the Alaska Nanook Invitational hosted by Alaska-Anchorage. The Seasiders defeated Hawaii Pacific and Alaska-Fairbanks by identical 24-31 scores in a single meet that was scored as two dual meets over a short course of just 4K.

Amanda Whitford took individual honors for the Seasiders with a first-place finish of 14:12. Diana Voorhees took third in 14:33 and Hilarie Glenn placed eighth in 14:54. Veronica Mendoza came in tenth in 15:19 and Michelle Fong was just behind her in 11th place with a time of 15:24 to round out the BYU–Hawaii scoring.

BYU–Hawaii will race again in on Saturday at the BYUH Invitational in Laie at 8:00 pm HST.
