
Laie, HI—The Brigham Young University Hawaii
women’s cross country team was honored this week by being named a
2007 NCAA Division II USTFCCCA Women’s Cross Country All-Academic
Team by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.
The honor recognizes teams that compile a cumulative grade point average
of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale when averaging each runner’s grade
point averages together.

HI—Two Brigham Young University Hawaii cross country runners were honored
this week with inclusion on the 2007 NCAA Division II USTFCCCA Women’s
Cross Country All-Academic Team announced today by the U.S. Track & Field
and Cross Country Coaches Association. Amanda Whitford of the Seasider women’s
team and Golden Harper from the men’s squad were accorded the honor
after their performances on the course and in the classroom this year.

ID—The Brigham Young University Hawaii's women's cross country team took
17th place today at the NCAA II West Regional, finishing with 409 points to
bring the season to a close. Individually, BYU–Hawaii’s Amanda
Whitford placed highest for the Seasiders, taking 30th place.
Belmont,
CA—The Brigham Young University Hawaii's women's cross country team took
second place today at the Hawaiian Airlines Pacific West Conference Championships,
finishing 13 points back of UH-Hilo in the race for the title. Individually,
BYU–Hawaii’s Amanda Whitford claimed the individual title with
Diana Voorhees placing third for the Seasiders.
Kaneohe,
HI—The Brigham Young University Hawaii's women's cross country team
took second place today at the Hawaii Pacific Invitational in Kaneohe.
The Seasiders
finished just five points back of meet winner UH-Hilo in a tight battle
for the top spot.

HI—The Brigham Young University Hawaii's women's cross country team had
the best finish of the NCAA II schools at the UH Big Wave Invitational today
in Kaneohe. The Seasiders finished in fourth overall with 119 points in the
eight-team meet, losing out to three Division I schools, but leading the lower
division teams. BYU–Provo won the meet with a score of 20.

HI—The Brigham Young University Hawaii's women's cross country team finished
outran UH-Hilo today to come away with a narrow team victory at the Chaminade
Invitational held on the Seasiders’ course. The Seasiders tallied 38
points in the meet to edge out UH-Hilo’s 40 points in the five-team
race.

HI—The Brigham Young University Hawaii's women's cross country team finished
second today in the BYU–Hawaii Invitational. The Seasiders tallied 53
points in the meet to finish a close second to UH-Hilo’s 46 points
in the five-team race.
Fairbanks,
AK—The Brigham Young University Hawaii's women's cross country team
picked up a pair of wins today in Fairbanks, Alaska at the Alaska Nanook
Invitational
hosted by Alaska-Anchorage. The Seasiders defeated Hawaii Pacific and Alaska-Fairbanks
by identical 24-31 scores in a single meet that was scored as two dual
meets over a short course of just 4K.
Fairbanks, AK—The Brigham Young University Hawaii's
women's cross country team opened the season today in Fairbanks, Alaska
at the Alaska Nanook Invitational hosted by Alaska-Anchorage. Unfortunately
for the Seasiders one of their five runners fell and was unable to finish
the race so no team score was given to BYU–Hawaii. However, the
Seasiders’ Amanda Whitford finished first overall in the race.
