Seasiders Defeat Sea Warriors

Kaneohe, HI—The Brigham Young University Hawaii women’s soccer team defeated Hawaii Pacific 2-0 today in a Pacific West Conference match. The Seasiders, now 8-4-1 overall and 5-0 in the PacWest, got a goal in each half and shut down the Sea Warriors defensively to secure the win.

Jill Haar scored the Seasiders first goal in the 13th minute off a pass from Kahanu Ah Puck. Freshman Sarah Welty tallied in the second half for the Seasiders with an assist from Haar and the Seasider defense did the rest.

BYU–Hawaii’s next action will be a Pacific West Conference matchup on Saturday against UH-Hilo in Hilo at 1:00 pm HST.
