| November 2, 2007Welty Gets PacWest Honor
Laie, HI—Brigham Young University Hawaii women’s soccer player Sarah Welty was named the Pacific West Conference Player of the Week for the week of September 24th for her outstanding play in leading the Seasiders to three Pacific West Conference road wins during the week. She is the second Seasider to win conference Player of the Week this season. Welty, a freshman forward from Antelope, California, totaled six points on
two goals and two assists in the three wins. She scored a goal and added an
assist in BYU-Hawaii's 3-0 victory over Grand Canyon and also had a goal and
an assist as the Seasiders edged Dixie State 4-3.
