San Francisco, CA—The Brigham Young University Hawaii women’s soccer team completed their grueling road trip today by defeating San Francisco State 1-0 in non-conference action. The Seasiders, now 6-3-1 for the season, played five matches in nine days on the mainland and came away with a 4-1 mark on the trip.

Sophomore midfielder Ashley Hunter scored her fourth goal of the season off a pass from Jill Haar in the 59th minute to provide all the scoring in the match today. Seasider goal keeper Becky Ploeger stopped three shots in earning her second shutout of the season. BYU–Hawaii won despite being out shot 13-10 by the Gators.

BYU–Hawaii will return home to Oahu for their next match but will still be playing on the road as they face Chaminade in Honolulu on Saturday at 2:00 pm HST.
