U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services G-1055, Fee Schedule

Submit Your Petition or Application With the Current Fee.

Petitions and applications submitted to U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) require a fee listed below. The fees are effective October 26, 2005. The "I" (immigration) and "N" (naturalization/citizenship) forms are listed in numerical order. If you do not include the correct fee when submitting the form, we will reject your petition or application and return it to you. You will need to resubmit the form with the appropriate fee.

Biometric Services Fee.

Some petitions and applications also require a $70.00 fee for USCIS to take your fingerprints as part of the biometric services requirement. If necessary, USCIS may also take your photograph and signature. Check your application or petition for specific instructions on who is required to be fingerprinted and how USCIS notifies you about when and where to go for the biometric services.

Payment.

Submit the fee in the exact amount, using a check or money order payable in U.S. currency. The application or petition fee and biometric services fee may be paid by one check or money order, or separate checks or money orders. Unless otherwise instructed, make the check or money order payable to the Department of Homeland Security, or U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.

Fee Waiver.

Persons financially unable to pay the petition or application fee may submit a fee waiver request as described in 8 CFR 103.7(c). The granting of a fee waiver will be at the sole discretion of USCIS. However, USCIS does not waive the biometric services fee.

How Often Do the Fees Change?

Fees listed on this form for petitions, applications and biometric services are current. However, USCIS fees change periodically.
